As girls our favourite motto is “Drink your water and mind your own business,” and today I’m going to give you a tip on how you can add a little flavour to your water in an easy and affordable way. All you need is a cucumber.
Trust me you really need it, especially during this hectic working week after the long weekend. By the way, hope you had an egg-cellent Easter holiday.
Cucumber water, like I mentioned, is an easy, affordable and flavourful way to enjoy your water and stay healthy.
Here’s why cucumber water is good for your health:
Cucumber water keeps you hydrated. The human body needs a lot of water to function but drinking plain water all day long can become monotonous and boring. Adding cucumber will give your water a soothing flavour which makes you drink even more.
Cucumber helps in preventing cancer. Some medical experts say cucumbers are help the body fight different types of cancer.
They are good for weight loss. Cucumber can help your reduce those extra unwanted calories in your body. You are also less likely to feel hungry when you drink cucumber water regularly as the body tends to confuse hunger and thirst.
Cucumbers are good for the skin. We all want a smooth and flawless skin right? Cucumber water does the trick as it helps your body flush out toxins and maintain a healthy complexion.
Good for the bones. The vitamin K in cucumber is good for healthy bones and tissues, as well as blood clotting.

How to make cucumber water
- Cut thin slices of cucumber and put them in a jar.
- Add lemon slices and/or mint (optional).
- Add icecubes and top with water.
- Refrigerate for an hour and you are good to go.
