In a bid to promote cultural heritage and economic empowerment among women, Dingindira Arts and Culture Group is calling on women in Zvishavane town to join their ranks.

Founded on the rich traditions of the Karanga culture, the group offers women the opportunity to engage in cultural dances and earn a steady income.

In an interview with the group’s director, Ms Fungai Mhaso, emphasized the importance of women taking charge of their financial wellbeing.

“We believe that a woman of today is a woman who works hard to earn money, not one who relies on illicit activities as an easy way out,” she said.

“Our group provides a platform for women to showcase their cultural talents while earning a decent living.”

Dingindira Arts Group is dedicated to preserving and promoting the Karanga culture through music, dance, and art. The group helps women to develop their skills, build confidence and become financially independent. The group’s mission is to empower women and challenge societal norms that restrict their potential.

“We want to show women that they have the power to create their own opportunities and succeed without compromising their values,” Ms Fungai Mhaso added, “Our group is a safe space for women to grow, learn, and thrive.”
