Women’s Weekly Journal is an online magazine dedicated to addressing the gender barriers that women in marginalized mining communities face. Based in Zvishavane and Mberengwa, which are mining areas, the magazine aims to shed light on the challenges women encounter such as exclusion from decision-making processes, unfair distribution of mineral wealth, and Gender-Based Violence among other issues. The publication seeks to foster dialogue and provide a safe space for women in rural mining communities to discuss the issues affecting them. Additionally, the magazine aims to promote equal access to socio-economic and political opportunities for both men and women and to facilitate collaboration between women and various organizations that may offer assistance. The primary target audience of the magazine includes girls, young women, women in mining, women with disabilities, and elderly women, with a focus on addressing their diverse needs.
